It's not me, it's my razor!
First off.. Happy October! So this post may be completely off season since it's about... you guess it.. SHAVING!
But come on ladies, let's not forget to shave your gams even when the weather gets a bit chilly.
In fact this may be the best time to try out different razors or hair removal procedures to find the best method for you!
Personally I would love laser hair removal but not everyone has the budget for that so I limited to shaving and waxing.
Specifically when I have to travel i just bring along a razor since waxing is just not going to work while you're on vacation/work trip.
Recently, I was lucky enough to get a sample box of the new Gillette Venus Embrace Sensitive by Influenster.
I am pretty happy I got dibs on this box as I have super sensitive skin on my thighs and underarms and am always looking for the next best razor.
So here is the REVIEW:
1. Razors are sharp, I was able to use the same razor about 5 times before i had to toss it which is great for this type of razor. I typically use the Schick Intuition, which has this hefty moisturizing bar around the razor making it a super smooth shave however the bar also causes the razors to go soft fast causing a not so smooth and close shave. So i was happy with how long this razor lasted.
2. Super moisturizing! I used this razor without shaving cream. I just lathered up with some soap (typical shaving procedure for me) and shaved away! No nicks, no bumps.. just super smooth and hair free skin! No irritation at all- just a smooth glide.
3. I was able to shave multiple days in a row without having to let my hair grow all the way and still got a pretty close shave.
Verdict:
I would definitely purchase this razor again specifically for my legs as I got a very close shave and no irritation. It's been a while since I have been able to have such smooth moisturized skin with no irritation. i was happy to find out that it's not my skin it's my RAZOR! The joy it brought me to know that my razor has been making my skin super sensitive was just a relief. I can stop spending all this $$$ on moisturizers that haven't helped with the dryness and irritation.
Other Recommendations:
Aside from shaving I would recommend waxing for underarms as I have not found a better solution for zero irritation underarm hair removal. Let me know if you have used any razors that you recommend for underarms and legs that I should try out for my super sensitive skin.
